In 2015, we rescued our first Friesian - and with that, the dream of a sanctuary at Peony Hill took root, Across 22 rolling acres, our pastures became a place of refuge and quiet healing. By 2022, our vision expanded. We imagined opening the doors of our beloved Manor House, nestled among five of the 22 acres.

With lush mature gardens, to guests seeking a space not only to gather, but to connect with something meaningful. In 2023, those dreams came together - and Legacy Charity Events was born. Today, when you host a micro event at Peony Hill, you're doing more than creating beautiful memories, you're helping to rewrite stories of Friesians in need - offering them safety, sanctuary, and a second chance at life.  

How It Works

Weekend Micro-Event Rental

Friday 3:00 PM – Sunday 11:00 AM
*2-night minimum stay at the Summer House at Peony Hill required.

Event Agreement

Connect with us to review and sign the Legacy Events Contract, which includes the manor stay + event space rental.

Grounds Fee

A separate event space fee applies — and part of it is tax-deductible as a donation to Friesian Legacy Rescue.

Giving Back

→ Host your gathering at a one-of-a-kind Manor with beautiful mountain views and lush gardens while supporting an important cause, Friesian Legacy Rescue.

→ A portion of your event fee goes straight to the rescue, a 501c3 non profit organization, to help support vet & medical care, feed, and shelter for our equine residents.

→ You'll receive a donation letter for your tax-deductible contribution.

FAQs

  • Your event includes a two-night stay at the Summer House at Peony Hill, use of the event grounds, and exclusive access to the Manor House gardens and surrounding views. A portion of your event fee is donated to Friesian Legacy Rescue and is tax-deductible.

  • We specialize in intimate gatherings of up to 50 guests. Popular micro events include:

    → Alumni Gatherings
    → Elopements 
    → Vow Renewals

  • Our max guest capacity is 50 people. Parking is limited to 10 vehicles, but shuttle service is available upon request for a reasonable fee.

  • Yes! We offer weekday rentals (Tuesday–Thursday, 10 AM – 10 PM) for intimate events:
    → Elopement: Couple + 2–6 guests
    → Minimony: 10–15 guests
    You can also add on access to the lower level of the Manor House for a more private experience.

  • A portion of your event fee goes directly toward the care of our rescued Friesians—covering things like feed, vet care, and pasture upkeep. You’ll receive a donation letter from Friesian Legacy Rescue for your records.
