Our Purpose
Friesian Legacy
Peony Hill is home to Friesian Legacy Rescue, a 501(c)3 nonprofit based in Lexington, Virginia, devoted to the compassionate care of abused, neglected and retired Friesians. This permanent sanctuary offers a safe haven for these majestic horses - many of whom can no longer be ridden or shown due to chronic injury, age, or genetic conditions. Here, they are given the dignity, love, and peace they deserve.
This Extraordinary breed has unique needs and Friesian Legacy is committed to meet them. Here every horse is met with gentle hands, individualized care, and a soft place to land - often for the rest of their lives.
Your Micro-Event at Peony Hill directly supports this heartfelt mission. Whether you glimpse a Friesian grazing in the distance or share a quiet moment up close, their presence is part of the soul of this place - one of the many things that makes Peony Hill so unforgettable.
